Rovio Stockholm Studio is the studio behind Angry Birds 2, a game they have kept exciting and fresh for players through world class live ops since its launch in 2015. The studio is actively developing new titles and their goal is to create approachable games but retain the deep mechanics that seasoned players know and love.
In early 2021, right in the middle of the pandemic, I got the amazing chance to join Rovio and move to the beautiful city of Stockholm, Sweden. As a Senior UI/UX designer, I focused on making mobile game interfaces more appealing and intuitive, from polishing visuals to fine-tuning the overall player experience. I was lucky to work with an incredibly talented and supportive team who helped bring ideas to life and push our designs further.
I worked as the Lead UI/UX Artist and Art Lead on Angry Birds 2 project. This role has allowed me to drive the creative vision for the game's user interface and overall visual style, ensuring a cohesive and enjoyable experience for our players
Working on Angry Birds 2 it an enriching experience. The team operates with a flat hierarchy, promoting transparency and open communication. As members of the art team, we continuously strive to discover innovative approaches to improve the UI/UX of our mobile games. This involves refining our design processes, tools, and communication channels to ensure a top-notch user experience. We foster a friendly, inclusive, respectful, and supportive atmosphere, where learning from both our mistakes and successes is a continuous endeavor.
